High Tech Bathrooms

We live in a digital era and many of us are using the bathroom as an integral part of our everyday lives as a place to unwind and relax. Innovative high-tech amenities and concepts integrated into the bathroom can bring just that little bit extra easiness, joy and convenience into one’s life.

Harbour Build can turn a bathroom into a high-tech smart room. With a smartphone app or a voice activation device, just about anything can be done today.

With a touch of a button on a tablet or smartphone, the temperature can be controlled in the bath zone.  Lights, music and water can be turned off and on, Volume and type of music can be selected before even entering the bathroom. Instead of using standard shower and mixer taps, a high-tech digital control can be used to control the water temperature and spray intensity with just a press of a button. 

Voice controlled devices are increasingly making its mark into the smart homes. With just one device, the bathroom lighting (connected to smart lightbulbs) and music can be adjusted. Only available in USA now but working its way over here, is the voice-controlled shower and toilet.

 

A digital shower system and infra-red sensor-controlled amenities, make life easier, especially for people finding it hard to operate the normal taps for shower, baths and bathroom basins.

  • Clever Taps (Another great product for children and people with immobility issues. It saves water as the infra-red-sensors will only let water start flowing when it detects hands being placed over them.)
  • Smart Shower Toilets (Self-flushing toilets, known for its profound hygienic cleanliness through its oscillating shower spray.  No toilet paper needed. Available with soft closing lids, adjustable spry arm position and temperature settings.)
  • Privacy Glass (A switchable electric privacy glass which offers natural light, greenery or other pleasant views without compromising on the privacy. The special glass glazes over to shield the inside space from any outside viewing.)
  • Speaker Showerhead (For those enjoying music while in the shower.)
  • Mirror Television (For those who wish to be able to watch TV while in the bathroom. The LCD TV is placed behind the surface of the polarized mirror. When the TV is turned on, the images are transferred through the mirrored surface. When the TV is turned off, the surface looks and functions as a mirror.)

  • Spa Bath With A Massage Bed (The combination of the spa’s rejuvenating jet system and the digitized control of the massage pressure, water temperature and more, brings relaxation to a new height.)
  • Electric Defogger (A bathroom mirror or a mirrored medicine cabinet with a built-in electric defogger. Fog can be a problem, especially in smaller bathrooms. However, the Defogger will take away the steam lingering in the air after the shower has been running for a while.)
